EDAFIX contains rhizosphere bacteria capable of fixing nitrogen, promoting plant growth, and improving soil fertility. Mycorrhizal fungi increase the surface area explored by the roots of the plants they intercrop with, improving water and nutrient uptake.
Azotobacter spp. fixes atmospheric nitrogen into a form that plants can utilize, synthesizing growth-promoting substances and encouraging root development.
Azospirillum spp. forms a beneficial association with plant roots, fixing nitrogen and promoting the synthesis of substances such as cytokinins and auxins.
