Post-harvest in the vineyard: next year's harvest begins today.

The post-harvest period is a crucial phase for the future of the crop. As long as the leaves remain active and weather conditions permit, the crop continues to photosynthesize and absorb nutrients from the soil, directing them toward storage organs.

These reserves play a fundamental role in the early stages of the subsequent growing cycle. When growth resumes in the spring, the plant must support the development of shoots, leaves, and the root system at a time when nutrient uptake has not yet reached full efficiency.

Investing in post-harvest nutrition therefore means looking beyond the season that has just ended and creating the conditions for a more efficient, uniform, and productive restart.

TIPS FOR THE POST-HARVEST PHASE

Key elements to consider include nitrogen and potassium. Nitrogen contributes to replenishing the reserves needed for spring growth, while potassium supports numerous physiological processes related to the transport of assimilates and the plant's water balance. These are complemented by strategic micro-elements such as zinc and boron, which play a role in the balanced development of buds and new vegetation.
