Sugarbeet (Beta vulgaris var. saccharifera) represents one of the main industrial crops of temperate agricultural systems, intended for the production of sucrose. It is a species with high production potential, but requires careful and balanced nutritional management to best express its performance.

Achieving high yields and an adequate sugar content in the roots depends on a fertilization strategy based on solid technical foundations. Nitrogen (N) supports the development of the aerial part and photosynthetic activity, while phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) are crucial for the root system and for the processes of sugar translocation and accumulation, respectively. The balance between these elements is fundamental to combining quantity and quality of production.

Alongside macroelements, some microelements also play a significant role, the correct availability of which in the soil contributes to preserving the physiological efficiency of the crop and supporting the overall production potential.
